Maria’s Story: When Loss Met God’s Provision

On an extremely hot day in Stockton, we met Maria at a moment when she felt she had almost
nothing left. Through tears, she shared that just the day before, all of her belongings had been thrown away. She was discouraged, overwhelmed, and unsure what she would do next.

But that day, her story began to change.

Hart To Hart Ministries had been led to that very place with food, water, clothing, hygiene supplies, and other essentials. After listening to Maria and hearing what she had experienced, we were able to replace some of the things she had lost and encourage her with additional resources for continued support.

More importantly, we reminded Maria that her circumstances had not placed her beyond God’s reach.

What felt like devastating loss one day became a moment of unexpected provision the next. We
shared with her that it was only by God’s Spirit and His power that we were there, at that time,
prepared with some of the very things she needed.

Maria arrived discouraged and in tears, but she left with practical help, renewed encouragement, and a reminder that hope can meet us even in the middle of our hardest days.

“Sometimes God’s provision is already on the way before we even know where the help will come from.”
